Birding 101 at Lory State Park
Always wanted to explore the world of birds but not sure how to start? Join us for a talk about birding gear, guides, visual and auditory identification tips, and online resources.
We’ll also talk with a wildlife rehabilitator with NoCo Wildlife Center, and meet their ambassador bird to learn how to recognize when a bird may need our help and how we can safely do so. Presentations followed by a 1-hour birding hike. Level: Easy/Moderate

Mother’s Day Clean-Up
Help us celebrate wild mammas by working to protect them and their habitats!
Please help us keep our wildlife safe by picking up litter at Pineridge Natural Area! We will provide gloves and trash bags but please bring your camera or binoculars to watch wildlife while we clean!
World Migratory Bird Day
This program is a drop-in style and registration is not required.
Dixon Reservoir is a great place for migrating birds. Check out the bird banding efforts of the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies and see what might be passing though. Natural Areas volunteer naturalists will be leading bird walks every 30 minutes starting at 7 a.m. to see what’s around the reservoir. Bring your binoculars if you have them and celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with us!

Kids Wildlife Yoga
Let’s move our bodies to the sounds of nature!
Bring your yoga mat and your little one and join us for wildlife-themed yoga. We will learn about common animals found here in Northern Colorado while also finding our center and getting some wiggles out.
