What Does Volunteering Look Like?

Ambassador Animal Care

Socializing, training, and providing husbandry for our ambassador animals is an important job of our team. Each volunteer gets to care for our education animals and learn how to work with them during programs. Keeping these animals happy and healthy ensures they are program-ready!

School Programs:

Our education volunteers will go to schools and camps to give 1-2 hour programs about wildlife, conservation, or human-wildlife conflict.

Classroom Programs:

Teaching programs or workshops in the classroom at the NCWC facility. This can be to adults or children!

Outreach Events:

It is important to our mission that we are engaging with our local community. We table at community events like festivals to educate the public on wildlife and positive human-wildlife interaction.
