Transport Team

Transport Volunteers play a vital role in aiding licensed wildlife rehabilitators throughout the state of Colorado by facilitating the safe and timely movement of injured, orphaned, or ill animals to their designated destinations. Their responsibilities encompass transporting animals to various facilities or rehabilitators, facilitating transfers between different rehabilitation centers, and occasionally participating in release opportunities.

Things to Know Before Volunteering

  • Transporting wildlife comes with inherent risks, including bites, scratches, exposure to zoonotic disease, and property damage.

  • At this time, we do not offer compensation to Transport Volunteers, however, Transporters may be able to write off milage and maintenance costs in their personal taxes. Click here for more information.
