She/Her

Maddy Walinchus

Maddy's journey to joining the Northern Colorado Wildlife Center has been anything but typical – and that's what makes her story so unique! A true Colorado native hailing from Roxborough, Maddy started her career with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, spending four incredible years as a seasonal. During this time, she discovered her passion for environmental education and interpretation.

As her seasonal adventure unfolded, Maddy evolved into a park interpreter, where she not only crafted engaging programs but also collaborated with the community to address human-wildlife conflicts. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from Colorado State University

But here's the charming twist – Maddy's connection with Norther Colorado Wildlife Center began during her college days. Volunteering with NCWC stole her heart, thanks to the tight-knit community and, of course, the adorable animals. Now, as a proud member of the team, Maddy is beyond excited to contribute to the well-being of Fort Collins, both its human and furry inhabitants alike.
