When in use, bird baths should be cleaned once a week at least. The recommended way to clean your bird bath and feeder is by emptying it, scrubbing it with a 1:10 bleach to water solution, rinsing it thoroughly, and then putting it back into use. Without this cleaning, diseases and bacteria can build up and infect the entire bird population within a neighborhood.
